Business Development Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Business Development team working to drive new business for Climb Channel Solutions Ireland through growing the existing customer base and developing relationships with new customers.
About the role
You will be responsible for working with Check Point Software and other emerging vendors on sourcing, building, and driving new business revenue through the Irish reseller partner community. You will be working alongside a team of vendor managers to help develop new customers relationships in 2025.
Responsibilities
Your role will include but is not limited to:
- Generate new business sales and opportunities.
Stimulate sales activity within the Irish resellers.
Identify and book meetings with new potential reseller within the Irish market for Check Point and other Climb vendors.
Create and follow up on Climb Global Services opportunities and involve them in presales, demonstrations and implementations.
Chase live opportunities to ensure timely and lucrative closure of key sales opportunities.
Support the management and direct any call-out channel campaigns.
- Manage the relationship for development vendor on a day-to-day basis by:
Provide feedback on opportunities and sales activity.
Provide regular sales reports with concise information.
Discuss and progress new product, version or campaign activity.
Manage special pricing or high-value sales opportunities.
Manage to resolve conflicts and 1st-level technical issues fed back from channel partners.
Manage and effectively report on a monthly number.
- Develop brand awareness in the channel.
Work with publishers on shows, exhibitions, and general sales activities.
Engage with key decision-makers within targeted resellers.
Assist with marketing plans and activities as required.
Produce and deliver pre-sales presentations to any audience in a coherent, directive and timely manner.
When asked to perform sales floor walks and necessary innovative sales activities at reseller offices.
Be able to articulate the key high-level functionality of the publisher products and how they would benefit end-user organisations.
Assist reseller’s sales personnel as necessary, and as commercially prudent, in pre-sales activities.
- Internal liaison and development
Communicating with vendor managers and the alliances teams
Develop and understand activity within resellers.
Train and develop an awareness of key product attributes with Climb sales.
Work with internal management in Business Intelligence and analytical activities.
Perform any ad-hoc tasks as and when necessary.

About you
You’ll have a 3rd level business or marketing qualification; sales experience is an advantage, but a graduate would also be considered.
You will be self-motivated and driven with the aim of hitting individual and team targets, as well as further growing the company and brand. You will be managing your own workload with great attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy. You will be working collaboratively with the other members of the Climb Vendor team to help support each other’s workload when required. Salary €35,000 per year plus commission
