About the role
In this role you will work with our suppliers to upload pricing and product information into our systems. The two main parts to the role are, proactively updating products and pricing on a monthly basis based on pricelists that we are sent, or manually updating products on a case by case basis.
We get pricing information sent to us generally in Excel files and pdf quotes, you need to add this information to our system either by manipulating the format and uploading or through manual entry of single product details.
Accuracy of input and a keen eye for detail are a must, having advanced excel skills would be a bonus. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Your role will include but is not limited to:
SKU Management & creation: Identify product descriptions, types, vendor information, and pricing to create new product SKUs, processing enquiries (indirectly) from customers for products not already maintained on the product database.
Pricing Updates: Execute one-off and bulk pricing updates as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness by agreed deadlines
Data Validation: Verify information for accuracy before entering/updating SKUs in the system.
Database Analysis: Analyze reports and perform Excel formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP) to identify missing SKUs and ensure database completeness, and Action issues highlighted by the Quality Assurance system daily.
Vendor Relations: Serve as a liaison with vendors regarding product information and updates.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot product-related issues promptly and effectively, to resolve errors or improve quality
Product and Partner agreement Maintenance: Regularly review product listings for additions and deletions, update customer pricing agreements, and general data updates to maintain accurate pricing and agreements.
Team liaison: Communicate with Sales to ensure they are advised in advance of any known upcoming changes to the database, or that they are informed immediately of any unplanned changes.
About you
You will have a least five GCSE level 4/grade C (or equivalent) and above including Maths and English. You will be proficient at communicating both written and verbal, with excellent organisational skills. You will have a strong desire to learn new skills, comfortable using the computer including Microsoft Office, especially Excel and have excellent attention to detail.

- The ability to work in a highly pressurised environment to deadlines and with shifting priorities.
- Good communication skills – comfortable on the phone, a professional standard of written work
- Able to handle repetitive processes but with changing priorities.
- Excellent customer service and be customer-focused – aggressive in the pursuit of customer satisfaction.
- Proficient experience with Excel is essential.
- A knowledge of databases is an advantage but not essential.
